About

Robyn Dean, CI/CT, PhD, is currently on the faculty at the Rochester Institute of Technology as the lead instructor on their graduate degree in healthcare interpretation. Robyn’s scholarship in interpreting ethics is recognized internationally which has led to many presentations and projects around the world. She has been a certified interpreter for thirty years and her demand control schema has been the topic of numerous presentations, publications, and grant projects nationally and internationally. Her contribution to interpreter education was recognized in 2008 with the Mary Stotler Award, an award conferred every two years, conjointly, by the US’s Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf and the Conference of Interpreter Trainers.
